As a Microwave RF Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of microwave systems and components for our volatiles processing modules on the Moon and orbital facilities. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing high-performance RF systems for a variety of applications. You will play a crucial role in conducting RF simulations, designing microwave cavities, selecting materials, guiding wave propagation, and integrating COTS components into RF systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF engineering, with experience in Ansys 3D electromagnetic analysis packages, microwave systems design, and microwave-COTS integration.

As a Microwave RF Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of microwave systems and components for our volatiles processing modules on the Moon and orbital facilities. Responsibilities:
- Design, prototype, and test microwave systems based on COTS components.
- Conduct RF simulations for microwave systems using 3D electromagnetic (EM) simulation software, optimizing performance and efficiency. Support the engineering department in validating the simulations with prototypes, analyzing performance data and making recommendations for improvements.
- Design and optimize microwave cavities for various applications.
- Select appropriate materials for microwave components, considering factors such as conductivity, dielectric properties, and thermal stability.
- Design waveguides and transmission lines for efficient RF signal propagation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of RF systems into larger products or platforms.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and product managers, to integrate the microwave system into overall product designs.
- Ensure products comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and certifications.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually improve product designs and processes.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in RF engineering, with a focus on microwave systems design and COTS integration, covering two or more of the following:
- Proficiency in RF simulation software, particularly Ansys with the RF package.
- Strong understanding of microwave cavity design, materials selection, and waveguide theory.
- Experience with designing and integrating COTS components into RF microwave systems.
- Hands-on experience with RF testing equipment and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in the space industry is not required.

Skills Required
