What You'll Do:
As a Mechanical Engineer at Peter Basso Associates, you’ll join project teams working with top architects, contractors, and facility owners across diverse markets - education, healthcare, research, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use. You will have the opportunity to apply creative solutions to complex challenges and contribute to projects from concept through construction.
What We Are Looking For:
Engineers to design mechanical systems for commercial buildings in any of the following areas:
- HVAC Systems, including building load calculations, energy simulation and analysis, equipment sizing and selection, steam and hydronic heating, chilled water cooling and ducted air distribution systems.
- Plumbing Systems, including domestic hot and cold water, sanitary waste and vent, acid waste and vent, and storm water systems. Experience should also include domestic water heating, sump and sewage ejector sizing and selection.
- Temperature Control Systems, including pneumatic and electronic actuated systems. Direct Digital Controls and have a good working knowledge of systems options and control strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from US accredited university (or proven equivalent experience)
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in mechanical building system design
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Self-driven, adaptable, and team-oriented

Skills Required
- 7-15 years of experience in HVAC design for commercial building systems
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (US accredited) or equivalent experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Proficient in Revit
- Experience using BIM tools
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Self-driven, adaptable, and team-oriented
