The Role
Design and develop mechanical structures, enclosures, and hardware systems for autonomous counter-UAS platforms. Create CAD models and technical drawings, select materials and manufacturing processes, apply DFM and DFA principles, and support prototyping, testing, flight trials, and field deployment. Collaborate with electronics, RF, flight-test, production, and procurement teams throughout the hardware lifecycle.

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop the mechanical systems behind OmniDome's sensors, interceptors, and enclosures – from concept through field-ready hardware.
* Design mechanical structures and enclosures for sensors, interceptors, and other hardware components
* Develop and iterate on CAD models and technical drawings for new and existing hardware
* Select materials and manufacturing processes suited for field-deployed, weather-resistant hardware
* Design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA), working closely with production and procurement
* Support prototyping, testing, and iteration based on flight test and field deployment feedback
* Collaborate closely with electronics, RF, and flight test engineers to integrate mechanical designs into full systems
Qualifikation
* Strong background in mechanical design and CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape)
* Experience designing for manufacturability and for rugged, field-deployable hardware
* Understanding of materials selection for outdoor and weatherproof applications
* Comfortable working across the full hardware lifecycle, from concept to production
* EU work authorization
Bonus:
* Experience with drone, robotics, or aerospace mechanical design
* Experience with environmental hardening (IP-rating, MIL-STD-810, etc.)
* Background in defense or other high-reliability hardware industries
Benefits
* Competitive Compensation: Highly competitive cash comp, along with virtual stock options, that reflect your experience and the value you bring
