Job Summary
- Seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support the migration of corporate hardware-based systems into the WANDS/AWS environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing, deploying, securing, and automating cloud infrastructure while ensuring high availability, scalability, and operational resilience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and manage AWS EC2 environments, including compute provisioning, networking, and security controls
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible to automate deployment, configuration management, and repeatable infrastructure builds
- Apply expertise in the AWS Well-Architected Framework, including Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization, and Sustainability, to ensure compliant and resilient cloud solutions
- Leverage Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices to automate operational tasks, design highly available and fault-tolerant systems, and implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities
Required Qualifications
- Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
- Fourteen (14) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field is highly desired which will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience
- A Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience
- A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered
- One of the following certifications required:
- AWS Certified Developer-Associate
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Professional
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator-Associate
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKAD)
- Elastic Certified Engineer
- Elastic Certified Obervability Engineer
- Possession of a Cloud certification is required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer process.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, and automation
