Overview: We are looking for a media financial partner to our evolving media team - a motivated self-starter who brings talent and interest to our growing service. The ideal candidate understands both the management and buying of media in healthcare advertising. With a strong financial acumen, this role will ultimately be responsible for scope development through campaign closure and have the support of all associated media partners on the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
General Media Team Support

  • Serves as the intermediary and works closely with Finance, Media and Account Services departments
  • Directs and performs follow-up with account services to ensure budget alignment
  • Participates in client meetings, as representatives of media department, for media plan presentation and strategizing sessions.
  • Collaborates with clients and media team members and media planners.


Media Buying

  • Executes all Media plans while adhering to established budgets and timelines.
  • Negotiates and places media for accounts
  • Negotiates and documents rates, special placements and added value.
  • Clearly and accurately communicates orders and changes to media vendors.
  • Monitors buys in progress, arranges for makegoods and credits and is responsible for the post-buy results of all buys.
  • Tracks media expenditures to ensure budget compliance.
  • Researches and maintains record of trends, innovations and changes that affect media buying.
  • Attends individual media presentations and/or industry presentations to keep current with industry changes.


Media Financial Management

  • Works with Media Director on budget planning. Resolves billing discrepancies as needed.
  • Invoice reconciliation - ensures that all billing received for any client correctly matches the purchase orders.
  • Resolves discrepancies and requests corrected invoices and traffic information, as needed.
  • Approves media invoices and works with the accounting department to ensure that timely payments are made.
  • Accurate processing of vendor payments; assisting with data entry under rush scenarios.
  • Analyzes outstanding media billing that has not been received, and follows up to request billing from the media.
  • Handles requests for late billing.
  • Ensures billings and payments are maintained up-to-date and in good standing.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 5 - 8 years of relevant experience
  • Agency experience
  • Healthcare and/or pharma experience preferred
  • Cross-functional collaboration is critical for success
  • Experience with implementing and using common media buying and financial management tools
  • Full proficiency in Excel with experience in Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and other Microsoft OS platforms
  • Strong command and experience working with billable reports and job codes
  • Great attention to detail with solid organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of client financials and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, escalating issues as needed
