Under minimal supervision, this position plans and executes digital product strategy, technology/product development, technology and/or product support and/or customer engagement strategies in support of the company's product and service portfolio. Conduct market and competitive analysis, product analysis, digital industry and customer research to create and optimize the customer experience. Partner with cross-functional teams to define, implement and launch market-leading, customer-centric products or programs. Provide subject matter expertise to support strategic priorities. Maintains expertise on products and technologies through training and research and uses that training to drive and/or implement best practices and foster continuous improvement.
Position Summary and Essential Duties
In addition to possessing good communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, the successful candidate should be able to:

  • Provide thought leadership and forward-looking analysis and assessment that informs the team and influences decisions in support of the group and FedEx meeting its key objectives.
  • Research and monitor industry & digital trends summarizing findings for management and assessing potential impact on customer experience management or channel strategy
  • Prepare fact-based analyses and management reports to foster deeper understanding of digital marketing (as it applies to the group & our business) and best practices for improved performance.
  • Support senior staff in the preparation of key deliverables and presentation
  • Work across operating companies, marketing and IT to drive the implementation of experience strategies as well as programs
  • Develop and communicate to executive management plans of action that clearly align resources and timelines to hit target objectives.
  • Manage a product life-cycle and capabilities expansion to meet business needs
  • Knowledge/Experience in Agile and ability to work with and contribute in Agile roles.


Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:

  • Marketing, product management and project management experience.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a critical thinking, problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to gather, interpret and integrate customer needs, competitive analysis, product analysis, market research, and financial data into coordinated marketing plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate large cross-functional teams including IT to define product requirements, conduct usability and beta testing and take product to market.
  • Software project, product management or technical experience would be a plus.
  • Technology Marketing experience. Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Target, Analytics
  • Ability to work in unstructured environments with a process orientation to mine the details without losing the big picture; passion for data analysis and visual storytelling .
  • Demonstrated ability as a team player as well as leadership skills


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related business discipline. Five (5) years experience in a digital marketing or digital product management environment or demonstrated knowledge gained through coursework or work experience in digital product marketing, management, or technology support. Strong ability to understand business and customer needs, customer/user experience management, product analysis and technology capabilities. Technical acumen. Strong collaboration, communications and analytical skills. A directly related Master's Degree is equivalent to two (2) years experience. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.
Domicile / Relocation Information:
This position can be domiciled in the following locations: Collierville, TN, Plano, TX, or Pittsburgh, PA.
Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.
