Our dealership is looking for an experienced Automotive Sales Manager, with a proven track record. Previous automotive sales experience is required, and automotive management is preferred. Applicants must be high energy, personable individuals with a professional appearance and strong customer relations skills! This is an excellent opportunity for those with sales management experience to further their careers with one of the area’s fastest growing Dealer Groups! This position is the next step to becoming a general Sales manager! Must have experience working in high volume stores!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor the performance of sales associates
  • Supervise salespeople to enhance the image and customer satisfaction ratings of the dealership
  • Meeting with vehicle sales consultants to implement objectives for achieving sales and gross profits.
  • Hiring and monitoring the performance of sales consultants
  • Monitor and analyze salespeople's performances and assist salespeople in closing deals
  • Working directly with the general manager on making recommendations on both short and long-range advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions and compensation plans.
  • Work with business manager in structuring deal to maximize revenue
  • Communicate with salespeople to ensure that dealership policies are understood
  • Realize monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals and objectives for the department
  • Auditing all appraisals of trade-in vehicles.
  • Know and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

· Managers are required to maintain the profitability of their department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.

· Managers are required to not only understand and keep abreast of the federal, state, and local regulations that affect their operations, but must also comply with these regulations.

Career Path:

The Automotive sales manager’s career usually begins by working as an automotive salesperson, then progressing to the sales manager level then on to a general sales manager. General sales managers can progress to a general manager.
