As Manager of QA, you’ll lead a team of QA Analysts and QA Engineers who work on product teams of Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Designers. You’ll collaborate with Customer Support to ensure the utmost quality of the TurboTenant product. As a senior member of our Product Organization, you’ll be expected to improve how we design, build, and release software at TurboTenant.

As the Manager of QA, you will:

  • Ensure your team members participate actively in Product Team ceremonies, which include daily standups, grooming, retros, and planning sessions.
  • Create QA performance standards for your team. Improve the way your team members work together to increase the velocity and quality of output.
  • Act as an advocate for QA within TurboTenant and help shape and implement an overall QA strategy to meet company goals.
  • Through manual testing, writing tests, and building automated tests, ensure that the software product's quality, functionality, and UX meet our standards of excellence.
  • Execute regression and exploratory testing to ensure changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
  • Investigate and triage complex issues reported by the CX team to discover root causes and near-term workaround solutions.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 4+ years of experience working as a QA Analyst and/or QA Engineer alongside Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Product Design.
  • 1+ years of people management experience.
  • Have personally or have closely managed those who develop and maintain automated test suites.
  • The ability to speak up when work doesn’t meet your high standards.
  • A proven track record of helping ship a high-quality product.
  • Comfort working directly with our leadership team, pitching your ideas, defending your thoughts, and making product decisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and database relationships.
  • Advanced understanding of how data flows through a software application.
  • Advanced understanding of how to write a test plan for a complex feature/functionality.
  • A strong understanding of Scrum Principles and has worked on a team that uses them.
  • Very strong written communication and the ability to describe issues with proper context and in a way that engineers and product managers can easily and quickly digest.
  • An investigative mindset, exhibiting persistence and excellent problem-solving skills when investigating issues in the product.
  • Diligence and meticulousness, testing every scenario and leaving no stone unturned.
  • Ability to translate business and technical requirements into test strategies. 

TurboTenant has offices in Fort Collins and Denver, Colorado (RiNO). Face-to-face time is an essential aspect of the TurboTenant culture, and this role is expected in our Fort Collins or Denver office at least once a week (more if preferred).

Compensation range for this position is $132,000 - $146,000 USD annually. The actual compensation offered will be based on experience.
