SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

MANAGER, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING, FINANCE (APPLICATION SOFTWARE)

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be managing teams of software engineers to build and support our finance software systems.

The finance software team is the central nervous system of SpaceX’s financial operations – we build and maintain the mission-critical applications that power the finance department and keep our financial systems accurate, reliable, and secure as we scale launch, manufacturing, Starlink, AI, and chip design. Our teams design, own, and evolve the systems finance depends on every day – from core financial platforms to the integrations that connect those systems with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and other teams across the company.

Are you comfortable tackling new problems and creating innovative solutions? Do you want to help improve the software, infrastructure, and the teams that are instrumental to help take us to Mars? Are you excited about helping people grow in their careers? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment that embraces change? If this sounds like you, join and help lead our teams to make a real impact on humanity.

Aerospace experience is not required to be successful here – rather we look for smart, motivated, collaborative leaders who love solving problems and want to make an impact on a super inspiring mission.

What We Do

SpaceX designs, manufactures and launches the world’s most advanced rockets and spacecraft. The company was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk to revolutionize space transportation, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary. SpaceX has gained worldwide attention for a series of historic milestones. It is the only private company ever to return a spacecraft from low-Earth orbit, which it first accomplished in December 2010. The company made history again in May 2012 when its Dragon spacecraft attached to the International Space Station, exchanged cargo payloads, and returned safely to Earth — a technically challenging feat previously accomplished only by governments. Since then Dragon has delivered cargo to and from the space station multiple times, providing regular cargo resupply missions for NASA.
