About This Role:
We are seeking a Manager, IT Data Integration Lead - Omnichannel & Analytics to serve as the primary bridge between US Commercial business stakeholders and cross-functional IT delivery teams. This role is centered on integrations, with ownership for the end-to-end design, implementation, and governance of data integrations across our commercial technology ecosystem, including Snowflake, Databricks, Veeva CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), and related platforms.
In parallel, you will lead requirements discovery and translation, converting complex business needs into clear, actionable data requirements and technical specifications that drive analytics use cases such as HCP Personalization / Next-Best-Action, Patient 360, omnichannel attribution, segmentation and ML-enabled insights. This role sits within Biogen North America Commercial IT organization, supporting multiple therapeutic areas and active platform integration activities.
What You’ll Do:
Business Partnership & Requirements
Partner with business stakeholders across US Commercial functions including Field Operations, Marketing Operations, Decision Sciences, and Patient Services to understand strategic objectives, pain points, and decision needs.
Lead requirements discovery, documentation, and validation, including functional, non‑functional, and data requirements. Ensure requirements are backlog-ready for sprint-level execution.
Translate data architecture and integration outcomes into clear, business‑friendly language for non‑technical audiences.
Integration Design & Delivery
Collaborate with technical teams to shape data models, curated datasets, and semantic layers aligned to business needs.
Lead the integrations design across cross functional systems to understand data pipeline dependencies and data flows. Participate in design discussions and trade‑off decisions.
Lead the design, implementation, and governance of data integrations across Snowflake, Databricks, Veeva CRM, SFMC, CDP, and other commercial platforms supporting advanced analytics use cases such as decision engine, adoption journey, segmentation, or ML‑enabled insights.
Lead integration design documentation, mapping data pipeline dependencies and data flows to inform architecture decisions.
Partner with data engineering, Data Management (DMA IT), Enterprise Applications Solutions (EAS), AI Capability Technology (AICT) and Global Commercial and Medical (GCM) IT teams to define integration patterns (batch, real-time, API-based, event-driven) and ensure data consistency, timeliness, and compliance.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Participate in and enforce data governance standards, including data access governance, data lineage, consent management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, privacy requirements) for all integration touchpoints—especially those involving patient-level data.
Proactively identify integration risks, gaps, and dependencies; drive resolution through cross-functional collaboration and escalation when needed.
Delivery Model & Vendor Coordination
Operate within Biogen's SAFe Agile Release Train (ART), contributing to PI Planning, backlog grooming, sprint execution, and release readiness activities.
Coordinate with vendor and contract delivery partners (e.g., offshore data engineering teams) to manage integration deliverables, acceptance criteria, and testing milestones.
Who You Are:
You are a technically fluent integration lead who thrives at the intersection of data, technology, and business strategy. You can whiteboard an integration architecture in the morning and translate it into a business impact narrative by the afternoon. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving biopharma environment, and you bring a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset to everything you touch. You know that great integrations aren't just technically sound—they're governed, documented, and built for scale.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
5+ years of experience leading systems integrations in an enterprise IT environment, with demonstrated analysis and requirements management.
Experience working in life sciences industry, including familiarity with Commercial operations (Field, Marketing, Patient Services) and regulated data environments
Hands-on experience designing or leading integrations between enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks) and CRM/MarTech systems (Veeva CRM, SFMC, CDPs).
Strong understanding of integration patterns: API-based integrations, batch/ETL, real-time streaming, event-driven architectures.
Proven ability to translate business needs into data and analytics requirements.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with 360-degree data initiatives (e.g., HCP 360, Patient 360, Next Best Action, Patient Journey) that support advanced analytics.
Experience working in Agile / SAFe delivery models.
Exposure to advanced analytics or ML use cases.
