Purpose of the Role:
- Strengthen financial reporting, systems, and processes to support business growth and operational excellence.
- Enhance financial reports and dashboards while leveraging ERP systems and automation to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate across departments to deliver reliable financial insights, support decision-making, and ensure accounting and tax compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably across private companies, publicly traded organizations, or professional services firms.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA preferred) or an MBA.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting requirements under IFRS, corporate income taxes, and accounting principles.
- Extensive experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong asset.
Bonus Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working in a scale-up, research and development (R&D), manufacturing, or green technology company.
- Familiarity with financial automation tools, Power BI, Power Automate, and multi-entity, multi-currency financial reporting.
- Experience with project accounting, product costing, corporate tax returns, SR&ED claims, or equity compensation reporting systems such as Carta.
What Success looks like in this role:
- Develop and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and dashboards to support monthly analysis and management decision-making.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of consolidated financial results, including budget variance analysis and monthly and quarterly accounting activities.
- Enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and processes using D365 BC, Power BI, Power Automate, and other automation technologies.
- Support project accounting, product costing, revenue recognition, tax compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

OUR UNIQUE APPROACH TO CARBON CAPTURE Based on environmentally friendly solid sorbent technology, our carbon capture and removal solutions offer companies in heavy emitting, hard-to-decarbonize industries a commercially viable way to capture and remove CO2 emissions. The CO2 we capture is concentrated to pipeline-grade purity, which can be safely transported and stored underground or used to make other products.
