Role SummaryThis role manages technical support staff who provide technical support for the design and building of technical solutions. Provides leadership in designing, developing and implementing solutions in support of the business, according to standards and policies, while mentoring junior staff and guiding technology decisions.
Responsibilites
1. Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
2. Manages the resolution of the most complex platform issues elevated from staff and clients.
3. Manages technical support staff who implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and install cloud computing platforms across all systems. Plans, develops, and executes short-range goals and strategies to meet department, divisional, and corporate objectives.
4. Develops and implements changes to department policies and standard operating procedures to meet changing business needs. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. Leads quality initiatives to improve the delivery of service levels.
5. Responsible for delivering software maintenance and ensuring optimization of system uptime and performance for critical technology is completed. Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and maintain standards for platforms. Implements new technologies for enterprise-wide infrastructure projects.
6. Develops technical standards to serve Vanguard technical needs. Manages the ongoing performance of IT cloud vendor products and services.
7. Learns and understands client area business functions and requirements. Determines the appropriate technical tool to address the client's business needs.
8. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
9. Maintain the security of cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with both internal business standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
10. Oversee and monitor hybrid cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and resource allocation for the organization.
11. Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline the deployment, management, and scaling of cloud-based resources, improving operational efficiency.
12. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures, designs, and system configurations to guide future development and operational support.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 8 years of experience in managing complex enterprise-wide cloud infrastructure projects and environments.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) at scale.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodology, JIRA, and Confluence for project and incident tracking.

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard India. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
