The Logistics Manager oversees inbound and outbound logistics operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring the timely, accurate, compliant, and cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods. This role provides leadership for shipping, receiving, transportation, inventory and material movement activities.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee daily inbound and outbound logistics, shipping, receiving, and material movement.
  • Lead and develop logistics, shipping, receiving, inventory and material handling personnel as applicable.
  • Coordinate shipments and transportation to meet production and customer requirements.
  • Manage carrier relationships, performance, and freight costs.
  • Ensure accurate shipping, receiving, inventory, and transportation documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, transportation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor logistics KPIs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Partner with Procurement, Production, Quality, and Customer Service to resolve logistics issues.
  • Maintain safe, organized, and efficient logistics operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics and material flow.

Schedule:

The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-10 hour shifts, with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed based on workload demands.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, inventory, transportation, shipping/receiving, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, shipping software, and carrier portals.
  • Knowledge of domestic and/or international shipping regulations and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a team environment with strong communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S citizen.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.


Working Conditions

  • Onsite position with office environment and exposure to manufacturing areas.
  • Flexibility to adapt to peak workloads and tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education, training, and relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, inventory, transportation, shipping and receiving, or a related field
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, shipping software, and carrier portals
  • Knowledge of domestic and/or international shipping regulations and documentation
