SCOPE:

Christensen Logistic Coordinators are responsible for routing internal and external customer deliveries while validating driver workflow, delivery windows, and cost structures. Working with internal and external stakeholders to manage all transport deliveries at Christensen. All activities are done in accordance with DOT hours of service regulations, and in compliance with efficiency standards and safety regulations.

SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES

  • Maintain fuel inventory for all Keep Full (Inventory Managed) locations
  • Take all fuel orders for transport loads from customers and internal salesmen alike for the Retail Fuels, Commercial, External and Unbranded business units
  • Understand and manage allocation distribution and requests, working alongside the supply and pricing team to ensure both pricing and branding needs are met
  • Follow daily market changes to capture the best price
  • Monitor the Motive system in order to track trucks and hours of service
  • Work alongside the operations team to accommodate all maintenance schedules while remaining on time in full
  • Utilize independent judgment to assign drivers to trucks and routes to maximize operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability, all while adhering to safety requirements
  • Exercise discretion while managing schedule changes due to driver absences, business changes, and/or vehicle maintenance
  • Adjust assignments and routes as needed, communicating changes to appropriate stakeholders both internal and external
  • Report any service failures to the Logistics Manager with an incident report and or Salesforce report and send communication to the Stakeholders affected
  • Serve as primary point of contact for drivers and troubleshoot concerns
  • Manage and escalate onsite emergencies reported by drivers to the appropriate parties in compliance with company, environmental, health, safety and security guidelines
  • Log and report emergency delivery details
  • Review and analyze previous day deliveries to all customers to ensure routes were adhered to and efficiency levels were met or exceeded
  • Remain flexible to schedule needs, including covering extra shifts when other team members are out on vacation or sick
  • Collaborate with the OAC team to accomplish the Wholesale Fuel Customer Value Proposition
  • Collaborate with the Territory Managers to increase transaction level profitability
  • Participate in frequent 1:1s with the Logistics Manager
  • Participate in Team Huddles in an engaging fashion understanding KPIs and scorecard performance
  • Complete a Performance Planner that supports the Common Carrier Business Units annual goals
  • Utilize Third Party Carriers while staying compliant with COIs and authorizations to meet business needs where internal fleet lacks capacity
  • Help to onboard customers to adhere to the Logistics SLA
  • Assign and manage accessorial fees and pricing changes as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

LEADERSHIP & TEAM REACH

This position requires coordination with many Christensen team members, as well as outside parties such as customers, vendors, and suppliers. While this position does not directly manage others, Logistic Coordinators are expected to lead by example, and consistently deliver a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or higher
  • Data entry experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Customer service background.
  • 2-5 years of dispatching, logistics, or similar experience
  • Knowledge of delivery area (WA, OR, ID, AZ, NM, NV & UT).
  • DOT compliance experience a plus

  • Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
  • Lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
