Job Summary

The Logistician is responsible for coordinating, tracking, and documenting the lifecycle of government-furnished property, supplies, and technical equipment across program sites. The role supports acquisition planning, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and configuration tracking in accordance with DoD supply chain policies and federal accountability standards.

As with any position, additional expectations exist.  Some of these include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on the assigned tasks, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Track receipt, transfer, and disposal of property and material assets
  • Maintain inventory databases and reconcile discrepancies
  • Prepare shipping documents and coordinate movement of assets
  • Support audits and inspections of warehouse and material records
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and DoD logistics requirements
  • Support packaging, labeling, and configuration tracking activities
  • Assist with acquisition documentation and vendor coordination

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in logistics, inventory, or supply chain management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and logistics tracking software
  • Ability to lift and move moderate loads (up to 50 lbs)
  • Candidate must be able to work onsite
  • DoD Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with DPAS, IUID, or other government asset systems
  • Experience with government property accountability and audit prep
