Job DescriptionIDS is seeking a detail-oriented Logistician II to support supply chain and logistics operations within a DoD environment. This role requires experience in Army supply systems, procurement processes, and property accountability.
The ideal candidate will support full-spectrum supply operations, ensuring materials and equipment are properly managed, tracked, and available to meet mission requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Perform end-to-end supply operations including ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing materials
- Support procurement and contracting activities in a government or military environment
- Maintain property accountability, including hand receipts and inventory management
- Conduct inventories of Army property and ensure accurate tracking and documentation
- Expedite delivery of critical supplies and identify alternate sourcing options as needed
- Ensure compliance with Army logistics policies, FAR, and DFARS regulations
- Utilize systems such as CHESS to support procurement and lifecycle management
- Coordinate logistics activities to support operational readiness
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
OR equivalent experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Army Supply and Services Career Management Field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or contracting, preferably within a government or military environment
- Experience performing:
- Supply operations (ordering, receiving, storing, issuing)
- Property accountability and hand receipt management
- Inventory management of Army property
- Strong understanding of:
- FAR and DFARS regulations
- Army procurement policies and procedures
- CHESS system
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to manage multiple logistics priorities simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of Army logistics systems and processes
- Effective communication and coordination abilities
- Experience in mission-driven or operational environments
- Active Secret clearance required
Skills Required
