The Role
We are looking for a Linux Engineer to support and optimize our production and live trading infrastructure. You will provide hands-on technical support across Linux systems and related technologies, working across trading, office, and data center environments.
This role involves monitoring and troubleshooting production systems, administering infrastructure and security components, supporting hardware and software changes, and optimizing servers for low-latency performance.
What You’ll Do
- Provide direct technical support for Linux systems and related technologies in a production/live trading environment.
- Provide hands-on support for production issues across colocation, trading, office, and data center environments.
- Support and administer firewall environments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Linux-based servers, including supporting hardware changes, software installations, and upgrades.
- Tune and optimize servers for low-latency performance.
Requirements
Skills Required
- 3+ years of industry experience
- Engineering degree in Computer Science or another discipline
- Experience installing and troubleshooting Linux environments, including CentOS and Ubuntu
- Experience with firewalls and security
- Strong Shell or Python scripting knowledge
- Hands-on experience with Ansible or Zabbix monitoring tools
- Hands-on experience with AWS EC2 and S3
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple high-priority projects
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Good communication skills
