We are seeking a full-time Legal Technology Advisor to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a vital link between law and technology, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand the needs of our legal professionals and clients, and to drive the adoption of innovative technology solutions that enhance the delivery and quality of our legal services, with a particular focus on GenAI tools such as Copilot. ChatGPT and Legora.

You will work hands-on with a wide range of advanced legal technology tools including Copilot, Copilot Studio, ChatGPT, AI Agents, Kira, Litera Transact, HighQ, Power BI, and AI drafting and automation solutions, recommending, configuring, and supporting their use across live matters. Supporting the firm’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and client centricity, you will help our lawyers get the most from our legal technology toolkit and channel their feedback to our Product Management and Legal Technology Advisory teams.

This role is based in our Hong Kong office and reports to the Senior Legal Technology Advisor.

Job Description

Delivery and Collaboration

  • Develop a strong understanding of the needs of our internal legal teams and external clients, and translate those needs into effective technology solutions.
  • Recommend, configure, and support the use of technologies from our existing tech stack, including GenAI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT, to drive efficiency and innovation in legal processes.
  • Support technology-assisted workflows on live matters, such as contract analysis, due diligence, document automation, transaction management, and litigation, helping ensure high-quality, compliant execution.
  • Advise on the integration of AI and other advanced technologies into legal workflows, such as contract analysis and document automation.
  • Support power users of key legal technology tools to help expand our delivery capabilities.

Client and Business Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with our lawyers and clients, positioning yourself as a trusted, responsive point of contact.
  • Promote and analyse use of our Legal Technology Toolkit by delivering tailored presentations, demonstrations, and matter-specific configurations.
  • Balance immediate client needs with the firm’s strategic objectives, identifying opportunities to apply existing and emerging solutions.
  • Support pitches, proposals, and client engagements by demonstrating the firm’s legal technology capabilities.

Strategic Insight and Market Awareness

  • Stay current on the latest legal technology trends – particularly in GenAI – through continuous learning, networking, and research, and identify opportunities for adoption within the firm.
  • Gather and share feedback from attorneys and business professionals across the product lifecycle to inform improvements and the product roadmap.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and emerging solutions, and raise them for consideration in the firm’s innovation pipeline.

Legal Technology Advisory

  • Promote the relevant use of our legal technology toolkit, explaining solution benefits and providing tailored, practical guidance to our lawyers.
  • Contribute to projects that introduce and implement new legal technology tools, helping ensure they align with business needs and strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with Product Management teams to provide feedback and guidance on new solutions so they meet the needs of our lawyers and enhance client experiences.
  • Deliver presentations and demonstrations of our legal technology toolkit, including GenAI and other advanced tools.
  • Promote the use of training materials and provide feedback for ongoing improvement.
  • Help ensure solutions and workflows comply with firm policies, client requirements, data privacy, and information security standards.

Committee and Group Participation

  • Actively participate in the Legal Technology Advisory Community of Practice.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Adoption and usage of the Legal Technology Toolkit measured against targets.
  • Positive feedback and satisfaction from lawyers and clients on technology-enabled support.
  • Effective, timely support of live matters and technology-assisted workflows.
  • Contribution to successful rollouts of new legal technology solutions.
  • Quality and timeliness of feedback provided to Product Management and Legal Technology Advisory teams.

Qualifications

Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience implementing and supporting advanced legal technologies, ideally at a global law firm.
  • Demonstrated proficiency recommending and supporting GenAI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Hands-on familiarity with contract analysis and review, document automation, transaction management, and litigation/eDiscovery tools, along with Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform.
  • Strong understanding of the legal technology landscape and how it applies within a global law firm.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and propose innovative technology solutions.
  • Sound judgment in evaluating legal technology solutions for their value and fit with strategic goals.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including attorneys and IT specialists, and apply strong problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, delivered with enthusiasm and impact.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and an appreciation for diverse approaches to achieving results.
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in law preferred.
  • Prior experience introducing legal technology solutions in a professional services firm is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Work Authorization & Working Arrangements

  • Must adhere to the firm’s Agile Working Policy, which requires employees to work from the office at least three days each calendar week.
  • Ability to work outside core business hours as needed.
  • Willingness to travel to other APAC offices as needed.
  • Must be independently and legally authorised to work in Hong Kong
