JOB SUMMARY:
The Lead SEO Analyst manages a team of SEO Analysts, monitoring their performance, day-to-day work needs, and facilitating their efforts to manage client SEO engagements, which include SEO, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and content creation. The Lead SEO Analyst delegates tasks among the team to ensure work is completed effectively and on time and coordinates training for the team as needed. In addition, they are a subject-matter expert on the latest developments in SEO, and are willing and able to carry out the responsibilities assigned to Senior SEO Analysts and SEO Analysts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership

  • Oversee a team of SEO Analysts by providing guidance, direction, and motivation.
  • Review team’s work to ensure quality expectations are met.
  • Create and monitor corrective action plans if quality expectations are not met. 
  • Assign client accounts to team members based on account characteristics, workload, and assessment of analyst strengths.
  • Provide administrative oversight over the team, including time-off approvals and time entry review.
  • Manage and improve team member performance through regular 1:1 meetings, mid-year, and annual performance reviews.
  • Train and develop team members to ensure they are capable of delivering first-in-class service and expertise to clients.
  • Assist with new employee orientation and onboarding.
  • Develop training programs in collaboration with other Lead SEO Analysts and SEO Manager.
    Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Maintain a working knowledge of each department within Simpleview.
  • Liaise with other departments on behalf of the SEO team to ensure effective collaboration on projects.
  • Provide feedback to the SEO Specialist Team to improve consistency and timeliness of work.

Professional Knowledge

  • Display up-to-date knowledge of SEO, CRO, and digital marketing techniques, trends, and developments.
  • Create content for, and participate in, webinars and conference presentations.
  • Author whitepapers, blog posts, and case studies that are insightful, action-oriented, and amplify Simpleview marketing and lead generation efforts.
  • Attend sales calls and speak convincingly to the advantages of SEO managed services and consultation.

Account Management and Customer Service

  • Assist subordinate analysts with the management of their accounts, projects, and tasks.
  • Manage client escalations across all accounts within their analyst team.
  • Attend client calls as needed, serving as back-up for newer analysts and/or supporting more

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an SEO role.
  • Based in Liverpool City Region or Surrounding Area
  • Proficiency in utilizing Google Analytics and a variety of SEO and CRO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Mouse Flow, Screaming Frog, and MOZ.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong aptitude for developing and refining processes to enhance efficiency. 
  • Ability to train on complex subjects and develop training programs.
  • Exercise critical thinking to conduct thorough analysis that results in actionable insights.
  • Communicate clearly, effectively, and persuasively in both written and verbal forms.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
  • Travel & tourism industry experience or knowledge.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated team management experience.
