Lead Engineer for Mechanical Development

Job Mission:

We have system specifications, costs and planning considerations and within these boundaries you will lead the team that develops the products by designing, creating and testing sub-systems.

Job Description:

Creating designs with a small team of mechanical experts in enhancing one or more developments or issues, eg. You are always aware of improving quality of mechanical designs.

You are responsible for the design and implementation of specific mechanical functions, working together with the architect, team lead and (jr) designers, to enable reliable, stable, safe, contamination free, cost effective and easy to manufacture/service systems.

·         In order to support different (sub)systems you and your team specify and design modules and related parts.

·         You guide several engineers and you manage supplier´s feedback. This role is yours, a  technical leader to define and manager the solution.

·         You are concerned with the application of mechanical construction principles .

·         Your decisive contribution to the specification of various improves the qualification of the design.

·         Designs and realizes test equipment and appliances and is responsible for ensuring that prototypes are built and tests are carried out.

·         Is responsible for the technical product documentation and design implementation towards manufacturing and field service.

Education:

·         Bachelor (BSc) or Master (MSc) degree in Mechanical engineering.

Requirements:

·         At least 7-10 years of relevant working experience, especially in cutting edge field as aero space industry among others.

·         NX experience is preferred

·         Experience in design in a complex technical multi-disciplinary environment.

·         Expert knowledge of mechanical engineering is a must

·         Ability to excel in creative design and flawless execution of parts/(sub)modules.

·         Show ownership in not only implementing a module, but a function.

·         A solid B2 English as your colleagues and team have different international backgrounds. The interview will be held in English.
