What You'll DoYou'll own valuation and reserving for Pearl's MSSP ACO book, from model build to the financial close.
Rebuild, update and own Pearl's MSSP valuation model, managing monthly and quarterly closes.
Set IBNR reserves and deliver the monthly results that feed Pearl's financial reporting.
Reconcile prior performance year results against final CMS settlement, and build forecasts for each new performance year as new ACO partners join.
Define how Pearl interprets MSSP data and partner with Engineering to implement that logic.
Partner cross functionally with Operations, Customer Success, Engineering and Data Science teams
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a blend of technical expertise, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative spirit.
Must-haves:
6+ years of relevant actuarial experience, deep domain knowledge of MSSP offerings.
A Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
Advanced spreadsheet analytical and modeling skills (such as Excel or Google Sheets).
Strong data analysis skills leveraging SQL.
Nice-to-haves:
Experience using Python for data analysis and automation.
Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex financial information to non-technical audiences and executive leadership.
Experience working within an ACO environment (or similar).
A track record of impact within a growing, fast-paced startup environment.
ASA or FSA designation.

What We OfferThe expected offer for this role includes the following components:
Base Salary Range: $95,000-$180,000 per year, to be determined based on individual credentials and experience.
Additional Compensation: This role is eligible for a discretionary performance bonus and equity options.
