Job DescriptionTMAC Communications is seeking a junior-level web designer to establish a new website or websites for three economic development organizations in the State of New York. These organizations are authorized and empowered to promote the strengths and competitive advantages of a county in New York, as well as the resources provided by these three (3) organizations. The decision to develop three different stand-alone websites or one website with two child sites is yet to be determine. The organizations will look to our client in suggesting the optimal arrangement however the user interface (UI)/user experience (UX) must be interactive and engaging.
QualificationsRoles and Responsibilities
- Conceptualizing creative ideas with client.
- Testing and improving the design of the website.
- Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards.
- Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with the organization brand identity.
- Working with the WordPress content management systems.
- Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
- Incorporating functionalities and features into websites.
- Designing sample pages including colors and fonts.
- § Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
- Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript.
- Good understanding of WordPress content management systems and theme templates.
- Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Excellent visual design skills.
- Creative and open to new ideas.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
- 1 – 3 years of related experience
CONTRACT TERM
