Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Portfolio Support
  • Support Project Managers across multiple project portfolios.
  • Track project progress, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Maintain project documentation and governance standards.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource tracking.
  • Support coordination across business and technology teams.
Reporting & Insights
  • Produce weekly and monthly project status reports.
  • Monitor project performance and delivery metrics.
  • Validate and challenge updates to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Present project insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Support decision-making through data-driven reporting.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Gather project information and translate it into clear updates and reporting.
  • Coordinate activities between project teams and business departments.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Tools & Governance
  • Support the administration and continuous improvement of project tools and processes.
  • Maintain project templates, governance frameworks, and documentation standards.
  • Work with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Support onboarding and adoption of project management processes and tools.
Project Lifecycle Support

Assist across all stages of the project lifecycle, including:

  • Initiation and project setup
  • Planning and scheduling
  • Execution and delivery tracking
  • Risk and issue management
  • Project closure and lessons learned activities
Key Skills & Experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with data, reporting, and spreadsheets.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to learn.
  • Confidence communicating with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Exposure to project management, PMO, governance, or business change through education, internships, placements, or work experience is advantageous.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, or Confluence is beneficial but not essential.

Location Requirements
  • Hybrid working model with 3 days per week in the office (non-negotiable).
  • Office location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
  • Candidates should be able to commute within approximately one hour each way.
  • Due to the office location and limited public transport options, access to a car is highly advantageous.
  • Relocation support may be available for suitable candidates.

Skills Required

  • 2.2 or higher degree, ideally in Law, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or Accounting

  • Good PMO background and understanding of project delivery methodologies
  • Experience in investment banking or financial services environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and global stakeholders
  • Understanding of payments, transaction banking, FinTech, or digital payments
  • Collaborative teamwork experience
