Join Maytronics as a Junior Embedded Software Engineer for robotics platforms on a temporary basis. Collaborate with a dynamic team to develop and maintain embedded software solutions for cutting-edge robotic systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and test software for embedded systems in robotic platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software and hardware components.
- Assist in software debugging and troubleshooting.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure software quality.
- Contribute to documentation and user manuals for software applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
- Experience with microcontrollers and real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Skills Required
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Hands-on embedded development experience in C and C++
- Experience developing and debugging across MCU environments (STM32, ESP32, Cortex-M) and/or Embedded Linux user-space
- Experience with RTOS-based development
- Proven ability to learn quickly and become productive in an existing complex codebase
- High standards for code quality and strong sense of ownership; track record delivering reliable software on schedule
- Excellent communication and collaboration with system engineering, hardware, and integration teams
- Experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS / ROS 2
- Practical experience with serial protocols and diagnostics tools (CAN bus, UART, SPI, I2C, gdb, Wireshark, candump)
- Scripting capabilities in Python for internal test automation
