Position: Java Developer
FT/PT Status: Full-Time
Location: Remote within the following locations: DC, FL, GA, MD, TX, VA
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field required.
Overview:
Kreative Technologies is looking for a Java Developer to build and maintain features for enterprise applications. You will write clean, tested Java code as part of a collaborative development team.
The ideal candidate is a solid coder, eager to learn and good at working with others. You should be comfortable taking a feature from requirements to working code with guidance from senior developers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops, tests and maintains Java application code.
- Builds and updates web services and REST APIs.
- Writes SQL to work with relational databases.
- Fixes defects and supports production issues.
- Writes unit tests and takes part in code reviews.
- Participates in sprint planning, stand-ups and other Agile ceremonies.
- Documents code and technical changes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Java development experience.
- Experience with Spring or Spring Boot.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or Db2.
- Experience with Git and a build tool such as Maven or Gradle.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.
- Experience supporting federal government contracts.
Compensation: $68,216 – $75,795 per year
