Job DescriptionRole Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to support the evaluation and execution of opportunities across equity and debt, including venture investments, venture debt, and structured finance.
This role is hands-on and analytical, with exposure to live transactions. You will work closely with the senior team on financial modelling, deal evaluation, and investment execution, while also contributing to investor materials and market insights.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, commercially aware, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Analysis & Financial Modelling
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate investment opportunities across equity and debt transactions
- Perform valuation analysis, including DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and scenario analysis
- Analyze structured finance products, venture debt opportunities, and other alternative credit structures
- Conduct sensitivity analysis, downside protection analysis, and return projections
- Deal Evaluation & Execution
- Assist in the screening, evaluation, and execution of investment opportunities
- Support the team in due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and market analysis
- Review financial statements, business plans, and investment materials provided by potential portfolio companies
- Prepare internal investment memoranda and credit evaluation notes
- Market Research & Industry Analysis
- Conduct industry research, competitive benchmarking, and market sizing analysis
- Monitor relevant sectors, market developments, and investment trends.
- Track performance of portfolio investments and provide analytical updates
- Investor & Client Support
- Assist with preparation of investment decks, investor presentations, and pitch materials
- Support the team in fundraising and investor communications
- Help prepare data rooms, due diligence materials, and transaction documentation
- Portfolio Monitoring
- Track portfolio performance metrics and financial updates
- Assist with portfolio company reporting and investor updates
- Monitor key risks, financial performance, and operational developments
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, or financial institutions.
- Strong technical skills in financial modelling and valuation skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with financial statement analysis and transaction modelling
- Familiarity with equity investments, venture debt, and structured finance products
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work on multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience with startups, venture financing, or alternative credit
