Quadeye is a global algorithmic trading firm operating across major
financial markets and exchanges. We specialize in designing
sophisticated, automated trading strategies powered by deep research,
statistical modeling, and cutting-edge technology. Our systems analyze
vast datasets in real time and execute trades at extremely low
latencies, allowing us to compete successfully in the world’s fastest
financial markets.
We combine advanced mathematical models with world-class engineering
to build trading systems that are scalable, resilient, and
exceptionally high-performance. Our flat, meritocratic organizational
culture empowers engineers and researchers to take full ownership of
their work. Individuals at Quadeye are encouraged to question
assumptions, experiment with new ideas, and push the boundaries of performance.
With access to world-class infrastructure, mentorship from industry
experts, and real-time feedback loops, our teams thrive in solving
some of the most challenging problems in quantitative finance. We
believe in a culture where curiosity, innovation, autonomy, and
technical excellence come together. More importantly, we value
work–life balance, collaboration, and team bonding just as much as performance.
From global offsites, sports tournaments, team outings, and social
gatherings to a fun and energetic office environment, Quadeye fosters
a vibrant workplace where people enjoy the work they do and the people
they do it with.
Requirements
We are looking for exceptional engineers to join our Latency
Systems Team, a team that builds the technological backbone of
Quadeye’s trading operations. As part of this team, you will work on
optimizing and designing real-time systems that operate at nanosecond-level latency, where every hardware cycle and
every CPU instruction matters.
You will work at the intersection of operating system internals,
networking, hardware architecture, and high-performance software
design. This role involves full-cycle ownership: from
understanding system requirements, designing solutions, writing
efficient code, testing performance, deploying at scale, to monitoring
systems in production.
You’ll collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, traders,
system engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure our systems push
the edge of performance and reliability.
This internship is ideal for students who enjoy low-level
programming, system design, OS internals, and algorithmic optimization.
As an Intern – Systems Engineer, your responsibilities include:
Design and implement real-time trade execution systems and risk management pipelines
Build software that handles extreme throughput and executes thousands of decisions within microseconds
Ensure that all modules are designed with low-latency, high-reliability constraints
Identify bottlenecks in critical execution paths
Optimize code to reduce latency and improve throughput using:
CPU profiling
Cache optimization
Memory management optimization
OS-level tuning
Compiler-level optimizations
Make systems faster, leaner, and more predictable under high load
Gather system requirements
Translate them into design documents
Implement features
Write performance-sensitive code
Deploy into production under guidance
Monitor systems using real-time tools
You will research and implement improvements related to:
Operating system kernel
System interrupts, clock sources, CPU affinity
High-performance networking stacks
Kernel bypass technologies
Low-latency system tuning
CPU microarchitecture (caches, pipelines, prefetchers, NUMA)
Optimizing algorithms to run predictably within tight latency budgets
Using cache-efficient, lock-free, or wait-free data structures
Build performance monitoring tools that track:
CPU cycles
Network throughput
Memory allocation patterns
System latency metrics
Develop utilities that help diagnose issues and improve system behavior
Education
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related fields
From premier institutes (IITs / top NITs / top engineering colleges)
Strong fundamentals in:
Data Structures
Algorithms
Object-Oriented Programming
Excellent programming skills in C++ or C
Good understanding of Operating Systems, Linux, and system-level concepts
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python/Perl/R) is a plus
Familiarity with low-level debugging and profiling tools is an advantage
Strong problem-solving ability
Curiosity to go deep into system internals
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn rapidly

What We Do
Quadeye combines the best of both worlds: the opportunity and spirit of a startup and the stability of an established, experienced firm. Our employees work hard to solve interesting problems, and their results are rewarded. We value continuous learning—from our outcomes, from the environment and from each other. By having deepest possible understanding of the financial markets and translating that understanding into great automated trading strategies, we have built a distinct track record of success. We trade across many asset classes and instruments, using a variety of models, across the globe.
