Skills Required

  • Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree program
  • Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and system layout planning
  • Willingness and ability to attend site visits and participate in project coordination
  • Completed or currently enrolled coursework: Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, HVAC Systems Design, Mechanical Systems in Buildings, Engineering Graphics/CAD
  • Familiarity or experience with Revit and AutoCAD for ductwork sizing and layout
  • Exposure to refrigeration cycles, chillers, and condensers
