As a Logistics Planning & Execution Specialist, you will be responsible for executing approved Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) plans by organizing, coordinating, and monitoring physical product flows between plants, suppliers, distribution centers, and customers. This role ensures on-time, cost-effective movements by translating DRP outputs into executable transportation and warehouse activities, managing day-to-day logistics operations, and resolving execution issues.

Key responsibilities:

  • DRP Execution: Execute approved DRP replenishment plans and release shipments in line with required quantities, delivery dates, service levels, and inventory targets.
  • Transportation Planning: Plan and coordinate transportation activities across road, sea, air, and intermodal networks, ensuring cost-effective and timely product movements.
  • Carrier & 3PL Coordination: Work closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to secure capacity, manage bookings, and ensure service-level compliance.
  • Shipment Execution & Issue Resolution: Monitor shipments from origin to destination, resolve transportation, warehouse, and supply chain exceptions, and communicate risks and corrective actions to stakeholders.
  • Warehouse & Inventory Coordination: Coordinate inbound and outbound schedules with warehouse operations and ensure inventory movements align with operational requirements and stock targets.
  • Systems & Data Management: Execute logistics transactions within ERP, TMS, and WMS systems while maintaining accurate master data and shipment records.
  • Logistics Performance Monitoring: Track and report key logistics KPIs, including OTIF, transportation costs, lead-time adherence, and service performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvement opportunities and support logistics optimization, standardization, and digitalization initiatives.

Key requirements:

  • Travel availability is required; 15-20% of the time, across EMEA.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics planning, transportation planning, supply chain operations, or distribution execution.
  • Hands-on experience working with SAP and logistics systems such as TMS and WMS.
  • Strong understanding of distribution networks, inventory management, transportation processes, and supply chain flows.
  • Experience collaborating with DRP, Supply Planning, S&OP, IBP, or related supply chain functions.
  • Knowledge of international logistics and multimodal transportation operations; APICS, Lean, or similar certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, combined with a data-driven mindset and strong attention to detail.
