Job Description:

• Provide technical leadership, systems engineering support, and system administrations and for enterprise performance monitoring systems.

• The candidate will be the technical lead of a team of system administrators maintaining COTS performance measurement solutions and their associated infrastructure for our customer.

• Install and harden operating systems, software, and applications. Monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts from monitoring tools, system failure analysis and lead recovery ensuring the consistency and integrity of file systems, hardware/software configuration.

• Maintain and administer operating systems, applications, and hardware related to Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) based servers. Provide advanced Active Directory maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting.

Required Skills:

• Over 10 years of experience in the integration and systems administration of Windows Servers, RHEL, Microsoft SQL servers and IIS based web servers in a DoD environment

• Experience with server, network, and storage virtualization using VMware.  

• Ability to review security policies and to then lead the direct implementation of the associated system configuration.  

• Ability to design, plan, direct, and execute system upgrades

• Ability to operate independently in a fast paced environment and provide a direct interface with customers. 

• Prior experience directing daily activates of system administrators.  

• Must be highly organized and enthusiastic individual

• Advanced Windows system administration in a DoD environment

• Advanced Active Directory Group Policy Management – Evaluate Group Policy Objects, and recommend process improvements; Manage group policy across the enterprise, and; Create/Modify/Maintain 

Group Policies:

• Experience with AD Sites and Services – Manage objectives in AD Domain Services that implement the inter-site replication topology

• Experience with AD Users and Computers - administer and publish user and computer objectives in the directory in a DoD environment

• Strong RHEL administration experience in a DoD environment

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking 

• Strong experience maintaining system readiness through the implementation, administration, and management via DISA STIG’s and other related DoD policies.

• Strong RMF and/or DIACAP system accreditation processes experience

• Experience with SAN design and administration

Desired Skills:

• MS-SQL development and administration skills 

• Oracle database development and administration skills 

• Experience with System Performance Measurement and/or Capacity Planning

• Backup and Recovery Administration 

• Previous work experience with Defense Health Agency or Military Health System 

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Applicable experience will be considered in lieu of degree

• Valid Security+ or CISSP certification

• Possess or able to obtain Position of Public Trust (ADP/IT-1)
