This position helps make gospel teachings, resources, or services accessible to all in a simple and affordable way, supporting the mission of the Church.
To determine work standards and measurements for production workers and to develop effective work methods to enhance productivity of workers and equipment. To design layout of equipment and work flow and select equipment to achieve desired results.
Work Location:
This is an on-site position and requires working in the office five days per week.
Interview Timeline (Tentative):

- August 17-18: Interview panel reviews applicants and determines which candidates will move forward.
- August 21-24: Selected candidates complete Spark Hire one-way video interviews.
- Week of August 26: Panel interviews begin.

ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Improves production efficiency by analyzing production problems with unit supervisors, designing work stations, work flow layout, and work method.
- Makes recommendation of equipment purchases by analyzing production problems, researching equipment options, and gathering data to determine cost justifications.
- Provides engineering expertise when introducing new items into the production line by contributing in team problem solving meetings, following through on assignments, doing research as assigned, and doing projections and estimates as needed.
- Determines parameters, standards and procedures for new incentive systems by analyzing problems and applying engineering skills and experience to create solutions.
- Determines standards for ensuring the finished product is of high quality by interpreting goals and management directives into ways of measuring quality and incorporating procedures into the methods of piece-rate workers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, including the ability to create, modify, and interpret facility layouts, workstation designs, workflow diagrams, and engineering drawings to support manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
- Minimum of two years of engineering experience.
- Experience conducting time and motion studies.
- Ability to prioritize work, drive change, and solve complex problems using process improvement methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or related business systems preferred.
- Current temple recommend required.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Management or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of the garment manufacturing and sewing industry.
- Spanish and/or Portuguese language proficiency.
