Our client, a rapidly growing small to mid-size service organization, is searching for an HR Manager to rebuild the HR department by setting up new policies and procedures and improving the existing process. The HR Manager leads the development of human resource strategies and practices that support the Company’s strategic initiatives. The HR Manager will have the overall responsibility for: implementing and administering the HR programs and initiatives, benefits administration, processing personnel files, updating HRIS, and overseeing legal compliance and employment policies.
Job DescriptionEnsures that human resource practices are consistent with the enterprise’s human resource philosophy and strategies.
The HR manager advises management on the application of employment, benefits, workers compensation laws and employment policies in the contexts of hiring, discipline, rewarding, termination, training, compensation and other human resource issues.
The HR Manager will support the efforts of the Company and will contribute to the maintenance of positive employee relations through supporting supervisors addressing performance concerns and interpersonal conflict.
Works closely with all managers to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention, in this high-touch, employee-centric environment.
Assures compliance with federal and state regulations.
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
QualificationsBachelor's Degree and/or Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) preferred.
Excellent organizational, customer service and multi-tasking skills.
Minimum 5 years’ of Human Resources experience with 1-2 years in a stand- alone HR role.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft programs; Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
HRIS Skills preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
