Onsite Human Resources Compensation & Systems Specialist
Location: Glens Falls, New York (100% Onsite)
Salary Range: $62,353.20 - $80,000.00 per year (Exact rate determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, education, and certifications).

Are you an HR professional who loves numbers, people, and organizational strategy? We are seeking a dedicated, Onsite Human Resources Compensation & Systems Specialist to join our human resources team in Glens Falls.
Please note: This is a strictly onsite, traditional HR role, not an IT, coding, software development, or technical engineering role. We are looking for an HR practitioner who wants to be physically present to support hospital leadership and team members face-to-face. You will serve as the internal expert on our compensation systems, ensuring equitable pay structures across our healthcare facility while collaborating directly with hospital leadership.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential (Responsibilities)
Compensation & Equity Management
- Design & Maintain Systems: Support our base compensation system to ensure consistent, competitive, and equitable pay rates for hires, promotions, and transfers.
- Calculate Candidate Rates: Evaluate incoming talent backgrounds to calculate fair, competitive job offers.
- Evaluate Job Grading: Maintain a reliable internal evaluation process to grade new and modified positions accurately.
- Analyze Market Surveys: Monitor industry and regional salary surveys to identify compensation risks and support retention.
Functional HRIS Ownership & Data Administration
- HRIS System Administration: Serve as the primary HR administrative owner for Oracle HRIS, managing system health, maintaining employee data integrity, and running routine audits.
- HRIS Problem Resolution: Research and resolve functional HRIS errors, missing data, or process flaws, and recommend workflow solutions to meet departmental needs.
- System Maintenance & Testing: Lead the HR side of HRIS updates and patches, including system testing from an HR user perspective. Work alongside IT staff to coordinate fixes and document the results.
- Reporting & Custom Queries: Create, maintain, and run custom HRIS reports and queries to support ongoing data requests from hospital leadership.
- HRIS Process Improvement: Manage HRIS workflow updates and apply change management to improve internal customer service and data accuracy. Recommend policy or system variations to leadership before implementation.
HR Advisory & Coaching
- Guide Leadership: Provide coaching and guidance to hospital management and the HR team to ensure the integrity of our compensation system.
What You Bring to the Team (Job Requirements)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Certification: Professional HR Certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR) OR a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation via WorldatWork is highly preferred
- Experience: 1–3 years of HRIS and compensation experience (including internships) within a Human Resources department is required. Oracle HCM experience preferred.
Note: This is an analytical HR user role, not a coding or software development position.
Skills:
Strong technology skills, including mastery of Microsoft suite and the demonstrated ability to gain fluency in HRIS and related programs including report writing and systems interface.
Proficiency in communications and interpersonal relationships are required. A strong customer service orientation with basic ability to negotiate and manage conflict is required. A very high level of confidentiality is required.
Strong organizational skills are required, including the ability to maintain complex records with accuracy. Basic project management skills are required.
