Summary Generated by Built In
CRABI Robotics is developing autonomous systems to clean and inspect ships — even while they’re in transit. Our robots operate in complex, high-speed marine environments where reliability, safety, and performance are critical. As we move toward our first commercial deployments, we’re expanding our go-to-market efforts and hiring a head of sales to help scale our external engagements and bring our technology into widespread use.
This person will lead both strategic partnerships and complex sales, identifying high-value opportunities and driving deals across industrial and maritime sectors. You’ll work directly with the founding team to deepen relationships already in progress, open new channels, and help build a scalable business around a technical product. This is an individual contributor role to start, with significant ownership and future growth potential.
Identify and close high-value commercial opportunities across maritime, shipping, and adjacent sectors.
Expand and formalize strategic partnerships with operators, OEMs, system integrators, and regulatory entities.
Lead the sales process from end to end — from discovery and scoping to negotiation and close.

- Manage and improve pipeline tracking, CRM systems, and deal analytics.
- Represent CRABI at industry events, customer demos, and strategic meetings.
- Support the growth of the GTM team and help define future hiring needs.
3–8 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships in a technical or industrial sector.
- Track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals or strategic partnerships.
- Strong communicator, comfortable translating engineering details into value propositions for operators and executives.
- Self-motivated and organized, able to operate with autonomy in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Able to start full time ASAP.
- Prior experience in maritime, shipping, or logistics
- Prior experience working with and selling to the DoD and government entities
- 1-3 years of experience in engineering OR an undergraduate engineering degree
US work authorization is a precondition of employment. CRABI Robotics does not generally sponsor or participate in employment-based immigration filings. Sponsorship is considered only in exceptional cases at the company’s sole discretion, and applicants should not expect it to be available for this position.
Export Control Requirement
CRABI Robotics designs equipment subject to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and this position requires immediate, unrestricted access to technical information controlled under ECCN 8A002/8E001. Under the EAR, sharing that information with certain foreign nationals requires a license from the U.S. Department of Commerce. Because the position requires access from the first day of employment, CRABI does not generally seek export licenses for this position.
Accordingly, applicants for this position must be either (a) a U.S. person — a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or an individual granted asylum or refugee status — or (b) a national of a country for which the EAR does not require a license for this technology. The questions below are asked of every applicant to this position and are used solely to make that determination. They are not used to evaluate qualifications, and CRABI does not consider national origin, ethnicity, or place of birth in hiring.
CRABI Robotics is an equal opportunity employer.
