A generative media company building the AI-native creation platform around the world's first omnimodal foundation model.
The Role
Lead Hedra's brand, positioning, and messaging for developers, prosumers, and enterprise. Execute launch emails, own the blog and CMS, run multi-channel launch orchestration, competitive intelligence, and define messaging guardrails while building and eventually managing content, social, and DevRel functions.

The Role

As Head of Marketing at Hedra, you'll own the growth engine: brand and positioning, the website, demand generation, and developer acquisition. You'll make Hedra legible to developers, technical buyers, and enterprise teams, then turn that clarity into signups, API keys, and pipeline.

This is a role you build by doing before you build it by hiring. You'll set the positioning, ship the site changes that convert, run the launches, and write the emails yourself. Each buyer profile gets its own narrative track: developers building on our API, prosumers using the product directly, and enterprise buyers evaluating deployment.

You'll set the marketing standard, which means meeting it yourself before you hire and manage against it. The title reflects where the role goes. Marketing at Hedra will include content, social, and DevRel. The early months are yours to execute rather than delegate.

Responsibilities
  • Own brand and positioning across developers (API/platform), prosumers, and enterprise, and lead the shift toward B2B and developer audiences.

  • Own website strategy and conversion: landing pages, comparison pages, pricing, and the paths that turn a visit into a signup or an API key.

  • Own SEO and GEO across the entire site, not only the blog. That means landing pages, comparison pages, and developer documentation, optimized for traditional search and for how answer engines and LLMs surface and cite sources.

  • Build demand generation and developer acquisition: own the channel mix, run experiments, and report on the funnel from first touch through developer signup and enterprise pipeline.

  • Direct paid and social as acquisition channels, whether you run them yourself early on or brief specialists and agencies.

  • Own launch orchestration: every feature ship gets a coordinated site, email, blog, video, and social plan with consistent messaging.

  • Write and own product marketing and feature launch emails to the full distribution list, and build lifecycle segmentation across developer, prosumer, and enterprise audiences over time.

  • Own the blog as one execution channel inside that system: an editorial calendar aligned to launches, writing or editing the posts that carry the positioning.

  • Run competitive intelligence: track competitor launches, positioning, content, and pricing, and feed it back into our messaging and comparison pages.

  • Write or heavily edit video scripts in partnership with the Senior Video Producer so long-form content carries the same positioning.

  • Define the messaging guardrails the social/DevRel lead and video team operate within.

  • As the org matures, take on management of the content and social functions.

Qualifications
  • 7–10 years in marketing spanning both positioning and demand generation, with at least part of it marketing to developers or technical buyers (API products, dev tools, or infrastructure).

  • Exceptional writer — this is a writing-first role. We'll ask for a portfolio of launch emails, blog posts, and messaging docs, and the process includes a paid writing exercise.

  • Hands-on with modern SEO and GEO across a full site rather than only a blog: landing pages, comparison pages, technical documentation, structured content, and how LLMs surface and cite sources.

  • A track record owning demand generation and developer acquisition. You've run a funnel from first touch through signup or pipeline, and you can talk through what you tried, what worked, and the numbers.

  • Comfortable treating the website as a conversion surface: you've shipped and tested landing pages and can work with design and engineering to get changes live.

  • Working knowledge of paid and social as acquisition channels, whether you've run them directly or managed specialists against a budget.

  • Comfortable operating solo inside a CMS and an ESP with no support staff.

  • Has run coordinated multi-channel launches before, ideally at a startup where you were the whole team.

  • Leadership trajectory: you've managed a small team, or you're ready to.

Who You Are
  • A writer first. You'd rather draft the email than brief someone else to draft it.

  • Self-motivated and independent: able to set ambitious (and yet accurate!) timelines and deliver on them.

  • Low ego, high patience, proactive communication. Strong opinions, loosely held.

  • Comfortable with numbers. You can read a funnel, find where it leaks, and decide what to fix first.

  • Genuinely curious about generative AI, world models, and the infrastructure underneath them — curious enough to read the docs and try the API yourself.

  • And most importantly, treat Hedra as your own and help shape the vision with us.

About Hedra

Hedra is a research and infrastructure lab building physical world models and the inference to deploy them at scale. Backed by top investors at Index, a16z, and Abstract Ventures, we've built the foundations for full-stack visual intelligence in the next era of AI.

Today our API serves both first- and third-party models to production customers, and our agent works within a single workflow to create content from scratch, manipulate existing assets, critique its own outputs, and repurpose them on demand. We're scaling from frontier research into the infrastructure the rest of the industry will build on.

We started by commercializing action-conditioned, real-time interactive video generation. We're now extending that foundation to the broader class of physical world models that perception, robotics, and media generation all run on.

At Hedra, we're a team of hard-working, passionate individuals seeking to fundamentally change how visual intelligence gets built and deployed, and to build a generational company together. You should have startup experience and be a self-starter driven to build impactful products that change the status quo.

The team is fully in-person in SF with a shared love of solving hard problems.
