We are looking for a Head of Finance to shape and strengthen our finance and controlling function in a dynamic, international environment. You will play a key role in driving financial strategy, ensuring robust governance, and supporting strategic decisions across the business – including budgeting, forecasting, and key projects related to growth and corporate development.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead all finance operations: accounting, budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and reporting.
- Develop and execute financial strategy to support growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with HGB (German GAAP); IFRS experience preferred.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, investors, and banks.
- Support fundraising, equity/debt financing, and M&A activities.
- Optimize cash flow, working capital, and capital allocation.
- Drive continuous improvement of finance processes and systems, leveraging automation and AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reporting quality.
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.
- Prepare clear, actionable board and investor reports.
- Provide data-driven insights to guide business decisions across products, markets, and business units.
- Partner closely with business leaders to ensure financial clarity, accountability, and smart growth decisions.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Professional qualification (Steuerberater, CPA, ACCA) a plus.
- 10+ years in finance, including 3–5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally in a startup/scale-up.
- Strong knowledge of HGB; IFRS a plus.
- Hands-on experience with financial automation and modern SaaS finance tools.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
- Fluent in German and English; excellent communication skills.
- Proactive, high integrity, thrives in fast-moving environments.
