The Head of Corporate Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth, overseeing sales operations, developing the sales team, managing customers and key accounts, and leading the overall business development strategy. The role focuses on creating a sustainable and visible market for Corporate Sales in Nigeria by growing a network of active clients, forming new alliances, achieving ambitious sales targets, increasing market share, and fostering long-term client relationships. Responsibilities - Develop the overall strategic direction for the Corporate Sales business unit. - Lead and mentor the Corporate Sales team, establish clear objectives, and monitor performance against targets. - Design and implement professional development programs to build a high-performing sales team. - Facilitate collaboration between sales, marketing, operations, and other teams to achieve corporate objectives. - Provide the sales team with the support required to close sales. Collaborate with Procurement to provide attractive pricing and timely delivery of supply items. - Coach, mentor, and train team members on relationship management, competitor analysis, best practices, and emerging trends. - Motivate team members to achieve and exceed established sales targets. Research and identify new markets, customers, partnerships, products, services, trends, and other business opportunities. - Conduct market research and review business intelligence reports to generate actionable market insights. - Collaborate with relevant departments to develop promotional strategies and activities. - Facilitate prompt delivery of supplies to meet customer timelines. Provide internal stakeholders with feedback on customer dissatisfaction and support corrective actions. - Follow up with customers on specifications to ensure accurate goods and services are provided. - Respond promptly to customer requests for quotations and tenders. Provide specialist advice to customers on relevant products and services. - Support and advise clients on product usage to improve customer satisfaction. Educate sales executives and customers on product usage, fabric composition, and stock projections. - Develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed team revenue targets. Supervise lead generation and sales pipeline activities. - Conduct sales forecasts and present findings to Management and the Board. - Implement approved business development initiatives to acquire new customers. Attend relevant industry events and provide feedback on market and industry trends. - Analyse sales performance metrics and implement strategies to maximize profitability. Build and expand the company’s educational supplies portfolio and its contribution to revenue - Develop initiatives to attract and retain customers. Develop and maintain strong relationships with major key accounts. - Identify additional growth and revenue opportunities within existing key accounts. Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service terms with key clients. Requirements - Minimum of a First Degree in a relevant discipline. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Sales Leader. - Minimum of 4 years’ experience working as a Senior Sales Manager. - Strong existing relationships and access to key decision-makers within the FMCG sector. - Strong existing relationships and access to key decision-makers within the Oil & Gas sector. - Strong existing relationships and access to key decision-makers within the Banking & Finance sector. - Strong leadership and sales team management capability. Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and business development. - Strong customer acquisition, retention, and key account management capabilities. - Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify revenue opportunities.
