About Ode with Anthropic

How do you turn a decades-old dataset into an industry-leading medical coding agent? Teach an AI receptionist to book appointments in Spanish? Automatically generate working data connectors from API docs? Build agents that write, test, and deploy their own software packages?

Anthropic is defining frontier AI. Ode is the team bringing frontier AI into practice.

We are a team of experienced builders who care deeply about getting complex AI systems into production, with strong conviction about what makes them succeed. As Anthropic’s services venture, we tackle the hardest, most consequential AI problems for companies with real stakes, working closely with their Applied AI and Product teams to turn frontier technology into real world impact.

We're backed by Anthropic, Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, Goldman Sachs, General Atlantic, Leonard Green & Partners, Apollo Global Management, GIC, and Sequoia Capital.

We're headquartered in SF with offices in NYC, Raleigh-Durham, and Dubai.

The Role

We're hiring a seasoned Operator to lead and grow our lean Business Operations and Analytics team from first principles.

The core mandate: build the systems, infrastructure and enabling process to stay one step ahead of scale while taking on the special projects to support step-wise changes in our growth.

Ode is a true operations business: creating value by optimizing supply and demand. You’d own this critical intersection that’s the core of our business while writing the playbook for scaling in an AI native way.

What you'll do:
  • Build the infrastructure to scale: Build the systems, data, and processes that keep us ahead of growth. Approach internal operations like a product, using AI and automation to create better ways of working as we scale.

  • Lead critical strategic initiatives: Take on the cross-functional problems and opportunities that matter most to our next stage of growth—from new market expansion to new bets across the business.

  • Optimize supply and demand: Connect our commercial pipeline to our workforce through forecasting, capacity planning, and staffing—ensuring we have the right talent deployed against the right work while optimizing utilization and economics.

  • Drive company planning and performance: Own the rhythms that help us run the company—from annual and quarterly planning to internal communications, business reviews, and Board preparation.

What you bring:
  • You've scaled a high-growth business: You've helped build the systems and infrastructure behind a company through a period of rapid growth.

  • You bring exceptional analytical and technical rigor: You're highly quantitative, understand how data and systems work under the hood, and can build rigorous models from messy inputs.

  • You're a player-coach: You can build and lead an exceptional team while staying deeply in the work.

  • You build lean by design: You default to better systems, automation, and AI before adding people or process.

  • You want to win: You have a high bar, move with urgency, and are deeply motivated to build something exceptional.

Our Values
  • Overdeliver: We are writing the playbook on how to create enterprise value with LLMs, and building our reputation as the world’s best applied AI team.

  • Overuse AI: We obsessively explore and experiment with Claude to push the frontier of applied AI and share what we learn with our teammates.

  • Over “engineer” the Culture: We’re building a culture that attracts and retains top applied AI talent, and we stress test large decisions through the perspective of our world class builders.

Skills Required

  • Experience scaling a high-growth business and building systems and infrastructure during rapid growth
  • Exceptional analytical and technical rigor, including the ability to understand data and systems deeply
  • Ability to build rigorous models from messy inputs
  • Experience building and leading an exceptional team while remaining hands-on
