The Vice President, Global Compensation Management (GCM) role will assist in the development, implementation and administration of a full range of compensation programs. This role will report directly to the Global Head of Compensation Management in the Strategic Incentives Group. This position will support a few of Blackstone’s Investment businesses and will provide advice and strategic guidance on pay decisions, pay policy and guidelines, and design and delivery of creative solutions to specific compensation-related initiatives.  In addition, the Vice President, GCM role will manage various compensation activities to include market surveys, year-end process management, and other compensation projects in partnership with the HR Business Partners.  
Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction, planning, and guidance to execute the design, implementation, communication, and administration of Blackstone Investment Professional’s compensation programs.

  • Provide solutions that are consistent with Blackstone's compensation philosophy, business needs, federal and state regulations.

  • Ensure compensation is competitive with the marketplace, internal equity/fairness while recognizing the need for cost stewardship. Ensures compliance and consistency with U.S. and global policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Manage the process of market benchmarking and market analysis, analyze data, and present findings and recommendations.

  • Manage annual compensation planning process for employees in collaboration with the business and HR team. 

  • Prepare compensation analyses and manage various compensation projects in support of the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required, with a focus in Business Administration/ Finance preferred.

  • 8+ years of progressive compensation experience.

  • Extensive experience working with multiple rewards and recognition programs.

  • Must possess a strong business and / or financial background and strong analytical skills, using both qualitative and quantitative data.

  • Overall HR experience and comprehensive understanding of compensation practices, programs, and plans.

  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to compensation (FLSA and DOL).

  • Requires excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Office.

  • Consultative and collaborative.  Experience to communicate (verbal / written) in a direct, concise manner, experience to interact with professionals at all levels, experience to effectively communicate with a wide variety of partners/ stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated strong process/ project management skills, and attention to detail.

  • Compensation certification CCP or PHR/ SPHR highly desired.

Expected annual base salary range:

$170,000 - $225,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
