Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a GCP Data Engineer to build and support secure, scalable data pipelines across Google Cloud Platform. You’ll work with real-time streaming and batch processing, integrate upstream data sources and help make data accessible to the right people while protecting sensitive information.
This role combines hands-on data engineering with a strong focus on governance. If you enjoy solving integration challenges and building reliable, well-controlled data solutions, we’d like to hear from you.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain real-time streaming and batch data pipelines using Dataflow and BigQuery.
- Build and manage data transformation workflows using Dataform, and orchestrate services and processes using Workflows, Eventarc and Cloud Run.
- Integrate upstream data sources, investigate dependencies and resolve data ingestion and integration challenges.
- Implement data redaction and masking, row-level security (RLS), column-level security (CLS), taxonomies and policy tags to protect sensitive data.
- Apply supported Google Cloud data governance mechanisms so that data access aligns with business and security requirements.
What you’ll bring
- Practical experience developing real-time streaming and batch processing pipelines.
- Hands-on familiarity with Dataflow, Dataform, Workflows, Eventarc, Cloud Run and BigQuery.
- Strong capability in data redaction, fine-grained access controls, data classification and governance.
- Experience implementing RLS, CLS, taxonomies and policy tags, with an understanding of when to use each control.
- A practical approach to troubleshooting upstream data integration issues and building reliable data solutions.
Highly regarded
Broader knowledge of the Google Cloud ecosystem, particularly how services, permissions and integration patterns work together when connecting upstream systems.
