The Role
The PRO team builds Viome’s B2B platform, which clinical practices, provider organizations, and partners use to order test kits, manage patients, and release results. The platform also handles the business behind those workflows, including billing terms, partner configuration, and fulfillment.
We’re hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer to build and own features across that workflow, from the portal providers use to the backend services that power it all. You’ll own features end to end, shaping the user experience, making technical decisions across the stack, and taking your work from idea to production.
Resposibilities
Build features across the provider platform: the clinician-facing portal (TypeScript/React SPA), the Java/Spring services behind it, and the public API edge
Own B2B ordering: bulk and draft orders, payment terms, Shopify B2B integration, and the webhook flows that confirm payment and reconcile state
Work on the results-release pipeline, including the practitioner review gate where flagged results are held until a clinician releases them
Build per-organization configuration — features, content, and branding that let a partner's experience differ without forking the product
Take features from ambiguous business requirement to shipped and monitored, working directly with product, clinical operations, and the PRO sales team
Make an intentionally large and long-lived codebase better as you work in it: reduce duplicated business rules, improve the seams, leave the data model clearer than you found it
Requirements
3+ years of full-stack development experience — TypeScript/React and a typed backend language (Java/Spring, or equivalent from another ecosystem)
Comfortable owning both halves of a feature: the API contract and the interface consuming it
Strong with Postgres — you can read a schema, reason about a join, and design a migration you'd be willing to run against production
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
Familiarity with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tooling
Deep comfort with ambiguity: you can take a loose business need, ask the right questions, and turn it into something real without waiting for a complete spec
Care about correctness where it matters. Some of this code touches PHI and clinical results, and you should want to get that right
Interest in health, wellness, or the intersection of biology and technology — you care about the mission
Skills Required
- 3+ years of full-stack development experience
- TypeScript and React experience
- Experience with Java/Spring or an equivalent typed backend ecosystem
- Ability to own both API contracts and consuming interfaces
- Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema analysis, joins, and production migrations
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools
- Ability to work through ambiguous business requirements
- Careful handling of PHI and clinical results
