The role

Senior Roto Artists are responsible for creating high quality perfect mattes and articulate mattes to help Paint Artists and Compositors to integrate seamlessly all elements of a shot to the highest level of VFX photo-realism.

Key skills

• Create roto mattes for Composite/paint dept to use with an understanding of how the mattes will be used.
• Handle complex shots, with elements in multiple layers, extensive motion blur and focus pulls.
• 2D Tracking, camera tracking and planar tracking in both Silhouette and Nuke
• Take ownership and responsibility of the roto task, actively engaging in problem-solving to address potential issues.
• Previous experience in rotoscoping using Silhouette or Nuke.
• Understand feedback given by lead or supervisors.
• Work with the team, within the studio and globally.
• Desire to learn and mentor junior artists.
