Every building, road, warehouse, and farm runs on equipment like tractors, cranes, forklifts, etc. Over 100K dealers and rental companies across North America keep those machines bought, sold, rented, and serviced, but most still operate on phone calls, paper, and decades-old software, with fewer people to do the work every year.
Chasi is building the future of equipment commerce. We help dealers and rental companies sell faster, respond to customers around the clock, and keep machines in the field instead of sitting in a shop or a yard. This is one of the biggest opportunities to bring real-world AI to an industry that software has barely touched. We're based in San Francisco, backed by YCombinator and other top investors, and already working with CAT, John Deere, Bobcat, and other top OEM dealers.
This is a customer-facing, technical founding role. You own getting Chasi live at dealers, driving real adoption, and proving ROI — then expanding the account.
You're not a ticket-taker and you're not pure sales. You're the person who makes the product work in the wild. As we scale, this seat can grow into broader ownership across strategic product, growth, and partner initiatives — the work that compounds beyond a single account.
Near term (deployment + outcomes)
• Own onboarding end-to-end: kickoff through go-live for dealer and rental accounts
• Deploy Chasi into real workflows (sales, parts, service, rental) and remove what blocks adoption
• Be the technical point of contact — diagnose issues, map processes, escalate cleanly to eng when needed
• Define success with each account (response time, quote speed, conversion, utilization, revenue impact) and run the loop until ROI is obvious
• Drive expansion: more users, locations, use cases, stronger renewals
• Bring customer truth back to product — ranked by impact
As you grow into the role
• Shape strategic product direction from what you see in the field
• Own or co-own growth initiatives that turn successful deployments into a repeatable motion
• Help build partner initiatives (OEMs, dealer groups, channel) that scale distribution and deployment
• Build playbooks and eventually help hire/train the next deployment hires
• You've done technical, customer-facing work (implementation, solutions, technical CS, consulting, forward-deployed-adjacent — coding optional, technical judgment required)
• You earn trust with operators who aren't software-native (GMs, sales managers, service leads)
• You're commercially minded: adoption without ROI isn't success; expansion is part of the job
• You want a seat that can expand product, growth, and partners not a fixed CSM lane forever
• You move fast, own outcomes, and don't wait for a perfect playbook
• Bonus: equipment, industrial, automotive, logistics, or other field-heavy verticals
• In-person, San Francisco
• Reports to CEO
• Base $120,000 – $160,000 + commission + meaningful early-stage equity
• Customer travel and long weeks expected
The base pay range for this role is $120,000 – $160,000 per year, plus commission and equity.
