The Role
Own Ploy’s community strategy from zero, including launching its community platform, growing and engaging members, building agency partner programs, creating educational content, and organizing digital and in-person events. The role converts users into power users and advocates while partnering with product, marketing, and sales to share insights and amplify launches. It requires strong communication, community-program expertise, growth marketing awareness, cross-functional collaboration, and comfort building in an ambiguous startup environment.

Who We Are

At Ploy, we’re building the first growth automation software with your website at its core. We serve innovative operators at growth and marketing agencies, tech start-ups, and some traditional industries as well.

They build their website with Ploy’s agents, and then those agents automatically research the landscape and business context, identify winning strategies for account based personalization, SEO/AEO, conversion rate optimization, and ship dozens of on-brand, on-strategy web pages in seconds to drive traffic and conversions.

Our vision is to completely re-define the concept of a marketing website in today’s agentic world.

And tear-down the broken, archaic low-code tech stacks of the last generation of website builders. With agents, we can unburden a world of story-tellers from manual work, long timelines, and being blocked by internal and external resourcing, and return them to a world of, “yes, and” + “let’s just do it”.

It’s a big, scary ambitious vision, but our team is uniquely positioned to do it.

Some of the best design engineers and growth engineers in the world.

World-class investors.

And one of our co-founders is Bryant Chou, the former co-founder and CTO of Webflow. (Yes, uniquely positioned)

And last but not least, hopefully you, the one reading this 😄

About The Role

From our experience at Webflow and other category-defining companies, we believe deeply in the power of community and want to invest in this channel from day 1 to cultivate growth, engagement, and connection.

Ploy is hiring its first Community Lead to own everything that this involves. You'll be the reason our users go from lurkers to power users, and from power users to believers.

This role sits at the intersection of growth and community. That means converting free and low-usage accounts into high-usage ones through education, activation, and genuine connection. And it means turning our most engaged users, creators, and partners into evangelists who pull others into the ecosystem.

Agencies get special focus here. Each one is a force multiplier with its own roster of clients and its own audience, so a big part of this role is turning them into partners who run their own events and create their own content under the Ploy umbrella.

You'll be the connective tissue between Ploy's product, vision, and the marketers and agencies who are redefining what it means to build for the web.

This is a high-ownership, cross-functional role at an early-stage startup. You'll be building from zero: the programs, the platforms, the rituals, and the culture. That means you'll have real influence over how one of the most exciting categories in AI-powered growth takes shape — not just inside Ploy, but across the broader ecosystem of AI-pilled GTM operators who are hungry for a place to learn, share, and grow together.

What you'll own:

  • Community platform & presence — Launch and run Ploy's community hub, creating a space where growth managers, in-house operators, and agency builders want to spend time

  • Agency partner programs — Build Ploy's agency program from zero: recruit and onboard partner agencies, then equip them to become force multipliers. Give them the playbooks, co-branded assets, and support to run their own events — workshops, client sessions, local meetups — and create their own content — case studies, tutorials, social — that grows their business and the Ploy ecosystem at the same time

  • Education & enablement — Develop content, playbooks, webinars, and tutorials that help our ICP get more out of Ploy and stay ahead of the curve on agentic GTM strategy

  • Member growth & engagement — Design and run programs that drive community growth, deepen retention, and turn power users into advocates

  • Events & activation — Organize both digital and in-person moments that bring the community to life — AMAs, roundtables, launch events, and more

  • Cross-functional partnership — Work closely with product, marketing, and sales to surface community insights, close feedback loops, and amplify launches

The ideal candidate has:

  • 2 - 4 years experience leading community efforts at fast-growth B2B

  • Bonus points for experience building partner, agency, or ambassador programs — you know how to turn a partner into a self-sustaining engine of events and content

  • Hands-on experience in managing online community programs, including stellar written and verbal communication skills to build positive relationships 1:1 and at scale

  • Strong understanding of what motivates and engages online communities, and the ability to systemize and operationalize those levers

  • A genuine pulse on the modern GTM and growth marketing landscape — you know who the AI-pilled operators are, you follow the conversations, and you might already be one of them

  • An educator's mindset — you love breaking down complex ideas and making people feel capable and excited

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward building — this is a zero-to-one role
