Forward Deployed Software Engineer – Palantir Foundry (Remote)
Location: United States & India (Remote/Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Engagement: Direct collaboration with Palantir & enterprise clients
About the Role
We’re seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) with deep expertise in Palantir Foundry to architect and deploy high-impact solutions for enterprise clients. This role blends software engineering, data integration, and strategic problem-solving—you’ll work side-by-side with stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable insights, driving measurable business outcomes.
Unlike traditional development roles, you’ll own end-to-end delivery: from understanding client challenges to building scalable Foundry applications, optimizing cloud workflows, and ensuring adoption. If you thrive in dynamic environments and love bridging technical depth with real-world impact, this is your opportunity to shape the future of data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Deployment: Partner with clients to translate business needs into technical architectures using Palantir Foundry (Ontology, Slate, Workshop, AIP).
- Full-Stack Development: Build end-to-end applications—ETL pipelines (Spark/PySpark), microservices (Java/Python), and intuitive front-ends (React, TypeScript).
- Cloud & AI Integration: Optimize AWS workflows (S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR) and implement AI/LLM-driven solutions where applicable.
- Rapid Prototyping: Iterate on solutions in agile environments, balancing scalability with immediate client needs.
- DevOps & Governance: Ensure robust deployments via CI/CD (Docker, Kubernetes), security compliance, and performance tuning.
- Client Leadership: Mentor stakeholders, drive adoption, and deliver clear ROI through data-driven workflows.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Java/Python, TypeScript/React, and Palantir Foundry (Ontology, Pipelines, AIP).
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EMR, Athena, S3), Spark, and backend frameworks (Spring Boot).
- Bonus: Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, or generative AI use cases.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to dissect ambiguous challenges and architect scalable solutions under tight deadlines.
- Client-Facing Skills: Strong communication to align technical teams and executives on vision, trade-offs, and results.
- Growth Mindset: Curiosity to learn new tools (e.g., Palantir’s AIP) and adapt to evolving client needs.
- 5+ years in software/data engineering, with 2+ years deploying Palantir Foundry in production.
- Experience in federal, healthcare, or enterprise sectors (preferred but not required).
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
