The Role
Own last-mile execution of customer deployments: configure, code, customize, and troubleshoot AI solutions. Act as human-in-the-loop for agent escalations, identify intervention patterns, and translate customer needs into product and engineering requirements.
Summary Generated by Built In
We are entering the biggest platform shift since mobile – a $1.5T market opportunity where every enterprise is racing to adopt AI. But there is a massive problem: the legacy players (the Accentures and Wipros of the world) are failing to adapt. They are still selling armies of consultants and glacial timelines in a world that demands speed.
Enter Turgon.
We are the world’s first Agentic IT Modernization platform. We don’t just "do AI" by adding chatbots to broken systems. We solve enterprise problems at the root: the data and systems level. By combining elite forward-deployed engineers with our proprietary AI Agent Swarms, we map, document, and modernize massive legacy infrastructures in days, not quarters.
We are turning CIOs back into strategic builders and ensuring IT infrastructure can finally transform at the speed of AI. We are looking for builders who are ready to reject the legacy consulting model and help us architect the future of the enterprise.
About the Role
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit at the intersection of our product, engineering, and customer-facing teams. This is a role for someone who is as comfortable in a customer conversation as they are in a codebase.
At Turgon, our AI agents handle the heavy lifting – but great enterprise software still requires a human who deeply understands the customer's world, can bridge the gap when automation hits its limits, and can translate messy real-world requirements into clean technical solutions. That's you. You will be the person customers trust, the person our delivery leads rely on, and the person our product team turns to when they need ground-truth signals from the field.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and genuinely enjoys working across the full spectrum from whiteboard to deployment.
Responsibilities
- Build and Deliver: Own the last-mile execution of customer deployments – configuring, coding, customizing, and troubleshooting our AI solutions to ensure they work reliably in the customer's specific environment, data landscape, and workflows.
- Human-in-the-Loop Operations: Serve as the intelligent backstop when our AI agents require human judgment, review, or escalation. Identify patterns in these interventions and feed them back to the product and engineering teams to continuously reduce manual effort over time.
- Product Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the customer inside Turgon. Synthesize customer pain points, edge cases, and feature requests into crisp, actionable briefs for the Product and Engineering teams. You will directly influence the product roadmap.
Requirements
- 7+ years of engineering or technical experience, with meaningful exposure to customer-facing or implementation work.
- Strong technical foundation – you can code, understand how LLM-based systems work at a practical level, build your own agents, and have basic data engineering skills.
- Excellent communication skills: you can explain a complex technical constraint to a non-technical stakeholder without breaking a sweat, and then turn around and write a precise bug report for an engineer.
- Experience working in data lakes, data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, etc), ERPs, and other similar systems of record.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and the pace of an early-stage startup – you can context-switch between a customer escalation, a product scoping session, and a sales call in the same day.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Prior experience in a Forward Deployed Engineer or Solutions Engineer role at a B2B SaaS or AI company.
- Hands-on experience with LLM tooling (LangChain, LangGraph, RAG pipelines, vector databases).
- Experience supporting or closing enterprise sales cycles in a technical capacity.
Education
- We don't actually care about qualifications as long as you are a sharp, customer-obsessed problem solver who wants to keep learning and make a massive impact.
