As a Flight Test Operator you will be responsible for supporting integration and testing of new engineering road mapped hardware and software at Insitu.
What you'll do:
- Operate and maintain aircraft and associated equipment to support engineering, production, demonstrations, and training activities within the Flight Operations department.
- Serve as a maintainer for aircraft and hardware, ensuring all systems are mission ready and compliant with safety standards.
- Conduct flight operations and evolutions in company controlled, Pendleton, Boardman, and national airspace multiple times each week.
- Achieve and maintain required medical clearance for participation in government programs.
- Obtain and actively utilize multiple system qualifications as operational needs demand.
- Troubleshoot, integrate, and maintain system architecture for seamless mission execution.
- Provide instruction and mentorship to new students and previously qualified personnel to maintain team proficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support enterprise-wide objectives.
Education & Experience:
- Associates Degree in Aviation, Military Aviation experience or 2-3 years of practical knowledge and experience working with Insitu unmanned systems.
- A working expertise with Insitu tracking programs and library documentation.
- Must be willing to work fully onsite in Bingen, WA.
- Current or previous qualification as an Insitu UAS Operator and Maintainer.
- Willing to commute in the company vehicle from Bingen to company flying ranges.
- Able to obtain a class II medical certification.
- Able to drive company vehicles and has a current clean DMV record.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Maintainer deployed or similar exp. is preferred but not required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Travel Requirement:
This position requires Domestic and International travel up to 10%.
In-Office Requirement Statement:
This role requires hands-on work on our products/collaboration with on-site teams, and will need to work onsite full-time in Bingen, WA.
