RiverStone International is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making across our global legacy (re)insurance business. This position will partner closely with Finance and cross-functional teams to evaluate financial and operational performance, identify trends, develop actionable insights, and support key business initiatives. The successful candidate will bring strong quantitative capabilities, sound business judgment, and the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
Job requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, accounting, insurance, or another analytical role.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
  • Experience preparing financial models, forecasts, budgets, variance analyses, and management reporting materials.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, data analysis, and report preparation.
  • Experience with financial reporting systems, business intelligence tools, or data visualization platforms preferred.
  • High attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to a range of audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Insurance, reinsurance, or financial services industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Job responsibilities
  • Gather, validate, and analyze financial and operational data to support accurate reporting and business analysis.
  • Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, reports, and recurring reporting packages.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting, including schedules, data review, and close-related analysis.
  • Prepare forecasts, budgets, variance analyses, management reporting, and ad hoc financial analyses.
  • Analyze results, trends, risks, opportunities, expenses, portfolio activity, and key business drivers.
  • Work with Finance, Claims, and business teams to gather information and provide decision-support analysis.
  • Prepare summaries, presentations, and supporting materials to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Help improve reporting processes, automation, controls, workflows, and documentation.
  • Support special projects and business initiatives as needed.

The base salary range for this position is $66,000 - $110,000. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, calculated as a percentage of base salary, in accordance with the applicable bonus plan.
