About the Role

Are you passionate about leading operational excellence in an entrepreneurial and dynamic work environment? Are you yearning for an opportunity to utilize your creativity to grow a scaling process? We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join us on our journey to facilitate a digital revolution in the B2B supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with accounting leadership to provide insights into department processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting close responsibilities.
  • Review and analyze routine and recurring accounting transactions prepared by accounting staff and contractors.
  • Comfortable navigating accounting systems (Oracle NetSuite) and lending expertise to others
  • Understand and apply relevant SaaS and PaaS accounting concepts.
  • Prepare meaningful financial information, analysis and reports and understand financial statement impacts related to functional area.
  • Assist with internal reporting package preparation.
  • Understand risks and execute in accordance with internal control structure.
  • Drive continuous improvement for existing processes and procedures, specifically regarding Software and Platform specific accounting and assessment of critical accounting matters.
  • Lead complex, high value-add projects and provides oversight on processes.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and training to other team members and functional leaders.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline current processes, specifically identifying key areas for automation improvements, working with the enterprise application management team to understand cross-functional implications and to implement such improvements and tools.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting required; CPA or CPA candidate a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting and financial analysis with either public company or corporate experience; Software/Platform and/or Start-up experience a plus.
  • Practical knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards
  • Strong Oracle NetSuite and Excel experience required.
  • Advanced experience with accounting systems and other automation tools; experience w/ SQL and other data query solutions a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities required.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring others preferred.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment preferred.

Compensation: $90-110k
