Finance Manager, Venture Team
Role Summary:
As a Finance Manager, Venture Team at Wavemaker Labs, you will help support the financial management, planning and reporting duties for Wavemaker Labs and our portfolio companies. The ideal candidate has experience reviewing financial reports, recommending and implementing processes/policies, and supporting business leaders with data-driven analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work with Director to oversee the operations and development of the company's finance team including creating and reviewing policies and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures
• Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports
• Work closely with internal stakeholders including Leadership and Product Development teams to implement strategic decisions and operational and financial planning process improvements
• Continually improve the operational and financial forecasting process and accuracy
• Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives
• Provide support for monthly and quarterly close process, including variance analysis
• Generate ad-hoc reports and evaluate KPIs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years of full time work experience
• Experience in finance, audit, or consulting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, creating & managing reports)
• Proficient in Quickbooks, Bill.com
• Strong quantitative and analytics skills
